PROJECT SAFE PLACE

How to Become a Safe Place Site

Becoming a Safe Place helps to ensure that San Jose has safe streets for its children. Not only will you help keep our youth safe, but also you will be recognized in the community as a business that cares, and that means more business for you! Becoming a Safe Place site is easy and requires little effort!

Here are the steps to becoming a Safe Place site:

1. Contact Safe Place Program Manager,
Deryk Clark at (408) 850-8466
or email dclark@billwilsoncenter.org.

2. A Safe Place Site Trainer will conduct a 15-minute training with your staff.

3. Pay a $25 fee. This is a one-time fee to help defer costs of the manual, sign, and decals.

4. A Safe Place sign will be provided for you to display in your front window.
